Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026. By engaging Skala for a project, you agree to the following terms.

Our services

We do web design and development. What's included is what's in your project proposal. If you want something outside that scope, we treat it as a new request and price it separately.

Quotes and proposals

Proposals are valid for 30 days. If you come back after that, pricing and timelines may have changed.

Payment

We ask for 50% upfront before we start, and the rest when we deliver. Invoices are due within 30 days. Late payments will accrue interest under Swedish law (reference rate + 8%). The deposit can be adjusted and will always be agreed on in writing before we begin.

Revisions

Every project includes two revision rounds. Each round works like this: you send us all your feedback in one go, we make the changes. We also do a final polish before delivery. If you need more after that, we agree on an hourly rate first.

Cancellations

If you cancel, we keep the deposit to cover the work we've already done. You get everything we've completed up to that point. If you want to pick the project back up later, we're open to it. Depending on where we are, a partial refund might be possible too.

Intellectual property

Everything we create stays ours until the project is done and paid for. Once that's settled, it's all yours. We'd like to show the work in our portfolio, but if you'd prefer we don't, just let us know in writing.

Client responsibilities

If you give us content, images, or text to use, make sure you have the rights to it. We're not responsible if something you hand over causes a legal issue. What we create ourselves is on us, and we make sure it stays on the right side of the law.

Post-launch support

If something breaks after launch, we fix it for free within 30 days. This covers actual bugs, not new features or changes. If something goes wrong after that window due to our mistake, we'll still sort it out with you.

Limitation of liability

Our total liability for any project is capped at what you paid us. We're not responsible for lost revenue or other knock-on effects outside our direct work.

Governing law

These terms follow Swedish law. If we can't resolve something between us, Malmö District Court handles it.
